11.23.2020 Message from Mayor Brad Simmons
Mint Hill Residents,
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope each of you have a safe and joyful day with your families. I hope you have an opportunity to reflect on the many things you are grateful for, not just within your family, but within our community. This month I have been reflecting on the things I am most grateful for.
I am grateful for my wife, Renee who has stood by my side this past year as I took on the role of Mayor. This year has been more challenging than anyone could have expected, and I could not have done it without her.
I am grateful for all the Town of Mint Hill employees who make my job so rewarding.
The Police and Fire departments for serving on the front lines and keeping our community safe. Thank you for your service and sacrifice to the citizens of our town.
The Public Works department for everything they do every day. There is so much behind the scenes work that they are responsible for in keeping the Town running. Thank you for the endless hours spent decorating Town Hall and the Christmas tree.
The staff at Town Hall who are responsible for the day-to-day operations. Everything from paying the bills, responding to code violations, meeting with developers and dealing with garbage issues. Thank you for all you do to make Mint Hill a remarkable place to live.
Without the commitment and high standards of all our employees, the Town of Mint Hill would not be such a great place to live for our 28,000 residents.
I hope this season is filled with happiness and joy. May your home be filled with love on this joyous occasion.
Be safe, be well, stay home.
Mint Hill Mayor
