Oct 8th, 2020

Mint Hill Residents,

Starting this week, I have changed my office hours format. I will still have office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but they will be by appointment only. Town Hall remains closed to the public so we do not have walk-in traffic. As always, feel free to contact me at

If you have not completed the 2020 Census, there is still time. The deadline has been extended to October 31. I have been amazed by the talent of our residents and business owners who are participating in the Scarecrow Decorating contest. Don't forget to vote for your favorite. First prize is $500. Scarecrow locations and voting is available at

Lastly, I am sad to announce that we will not be having a Christmas Parade or official tree lighting ceremony this year. There are too many unknowns and we need to keep our community safe. Rest assured that Town staff is working diligently on a plan to save Christmas. Stay tuned for details.

Stay healthy, be counted and be on the lookout for scarecrows.

Brad Simmons
Mint Hill Mayor
