Christmas in Mint Hill

MINT HILL – In just a few weeks, the wreaths around town will light up the streets in anticipation of the Christmas season.

Mint Hill Police Annual Toy Drive -- The MHPD Annual Toy Drive benefiting Pat's Place will take place November 1 – December 1.  Pat's Place provides guidance to families and community members dealing with abuse investigations.  You can help by donating non-gender specific toys ($10-$20) such as puzzles, games, coloring books, markers, crayons, books, etc.  Toys can be dropped off at the Mint Hill Police Department, Mint Hill Town Hall or the Mint Hill Volunteer Fire Department.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony -- Join us on November 30th at 7:00 PM at Town Hall for the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The music of the Olde Towne Carolers will be heard throughout the square.  The Queens Grant Community School choir will perform.  Hot chocolate and cookies from Daphne's Bakery will be served.  Santa has heard how good the children of Mint Hill have been and has promised to stop by and make note of everyone's Christmas list.  Bring a non-gender specific toy to benefit the Mint Hill Police Department Annual Toy Drive.

Jingle all the Way -- The Mint Hill Police Department's 2nd Annual Jingle all the Way 5K Walk/Run will take place at the Mint Hill Veterans Memorial Park.  Runners, walkers, joggers and dogs will be dressed in holiday attire.  Put your jingle on, and do something good for your health, while benefiting the Mint Hill Police Department Volunteer and Explorers programs.  You can register the day of the event or online at

Merry Christmas from the Mayor, Commissioners and Staff of the Town of Mint Hill.
