The employees of the Clerk’s Department provide support to all departments of the Town of Mint Hill.   It is our goal to efficiently and courteously assist all visitors and callers by providing answers or referring callers/visitors to the appropriate department or outside agency.  In addition to answering the phone and greeting visitors, the employees of the Clerk’s Department answer inquiries and receive complaints related to garbage service and other general services of the Town; and, the Clerk's office accepts applications from individuals wishing to volunteer for various appointed boards and committees.  The Clerk also acts as Tax Collector for the Town and will be glad to answer any general questions related to property taxes; however, beginning with the Year 2000, the Town contracted with Mecklenburg County to bill and collect municipal taxes.  Michelle Farrar provides Program Support, maintains the facilities’ use calendar and takes reservations for use of municipal facilities – the Town Hall Assembly Room, Mint Hill's Park on Fairview and Mint Hill's Park on Wilgrove.   She also prepares the agendas and minutes for the Board of Adjustment and Park and Recreation Committee.   As Deputy Clerk, Doris Miller prepares the agendas and minutes for the Planning Board meetings, provides clerical support to the Planning Department and acts as Clerk in the Clerk’s absence.  Beth Hamrick serves as Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, compiles and distributes the agenda packages with information provided by the various departments and the general public, and serves as the custodian of the Town’s records.  The Clerk’s office is located in the Town Hall, 7151 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, and open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except for holidays.   An automated answering service provides some general information and the opportunity to leave a message outside normal business hours.  For more detailed information related to each Board or Committee referenced herein, please visit the department specific web page or call Town Hall at 704-545-9726.
