Do Your Part for the Arts Do Your Part for the Arts

The first Mint Hill Family Fun Night DO YOUR PART FOR THE ARTS is scheduled for April 6th at Hawthorne's Restaurant located at 7319 Matthews-Mint Hill Road. Dine in anytime on Thursday, April 6th and 15% of your bill will support the Arts and Science Council. Make sure to mention to your server you are there to support the ASC.

ASC's aspiration is that all residents in Charlotte-Mecklenburg have access to excellent, relevant, and innovative cultural experiences that are fun, alive, and fascinating. That's why ASC provides funding for arts, science, history and heritage organizations, community festivals, cultural education programs, and creative individuals -- providing everyone access to millions of cultural experiences throughout our region.

This fiscal year, ASC has provided $15,000 in grant funding to support cultural arts projects with the Town of Mint Hill ($5,000) and unrestricted operating support for Mint Hill Arts ($10,000). Additionally, the Mint Hill Historical Society participated in ASC's Connect with Culture Day on January 28, 2017. The free event engaged more than 10,000 community members from across Mecklenburg County.

We invite you to enjoy lunch or dinner at Hawthorne's on April 6th while supporting the arts in our community.
